What is the focus of your present work?

I am deeply committed to a better future, in particular through understanding the human condition; our dreams, silliness, and how to weave it into important contexts, into the minds and souls of decision makers.

In 2008 I founded Hunome, the culmination of my pathways and a company set to transform human understanding of itself, providing a dynamic and visually engaging environment on the net where to share and draw ‘what makes us tick’ insights and understanding for many professional, intellectual and personal needs.

The net part of Hunome will launch early 2009.

Can you briefly summarize your past achievements?

My roles over the last 20 years as intrapreneur; in-house futurist, change agent and executive in the rapidly changing high technology industry have allowed me to work in and on the key decision-making processes. My entrepreneurial experience allows me to build businesses, which leverage the understanding of the future for better decisions in product, design, marketing and strategy.

As an infopreneur; speaker, author, facilitator and mentor I am able to share my experiences and expertise with various audiences.

This journey and passion is demonstrated in my actions as an early leader in putting social sciences and future consumer thinking on to the corporate agenda when she was the global product marketing lead in 1994 at Nokia. My actions made a difference through looking into the eyes of the beholder/consumer in a different way.

I initiated and led at Nokia a strategic program to shift Nokia’s understanding of the future consumer. I developed many new approaches to understand people and translated those views to meaningful strategies and product concepts, connecting people. I initiated and led at Nokia a vision program on “Mobile Information Society 2010”. Many of its recommendations are emerging on the market. I have written on these topics and co-authored and contributed to books and reports: “Strategic Foresight – The Power of Standing in the Future”, “Thinking about the Future” and “Connected World – Redefining the Geography of Business and how we Work and Play”.

I co-founded, in 1999, iiiglobal an “Innovation Community Marketplace”, set to bridge the gap between ideas and commercialization and founded Visioware, the main context from within which I trained, authored and consulted. I initiated and led the development of global Mobile Enterprise vision and strategy, as well as provided insights for change at CSC - Large IT services firm.

As a Fellow, we know you have a commitment to making the world a better place. How would you describe your motivation and aspirations in this context?

I have a dream. For a long time my passion has been in the space of improved understanding of the human condition and bringing that to decision-making contexts.

I believe that the improved understanding has the potential to increase compassion, improve decisions large and small and give individuals a better view of not being alone when things are difficult or make choices not limited by arbitrary conditions.

I am now at a point with that which I believe allows this dream to be taken forward in leaps and bounds. I hope you'll join me, help me, set your energy to vibrate with Hunome and our goal :-)
